Scholarship

There are several opportunities for financial support from and within college and outside sources. It differs between programs. Details can be found in the following sections.

Diploma in Forestry (DIF)

For study in this course, there is a provision of classified scholarships for 3 students. Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) publishes notice for application related to this classified scholarship for admission to DIF program. The entire selection process is solely done by CTEVT. After selection, CTEVT sends list of three students to KAFCOL for their admission. Their tuition fee is waived.

Similarly, there is provision for Merit Scholarship. For the first year of the course, the topper of the Entrance Exam receives this scholarship for the first year. It includes tuition fee waiver. In the second and third year of the course, student who is topper of that batch receives this Merit scholarship. 

Besides, there is provision for Ex. Niraj Ghimire partial scholarship each year provided by KAFCOL. In addition, the  college  has  provision to provide  few  partial  scholarships to outstanding  students- one  male and one female from each year.

Bachelors in Forestry (BSc Forestry)

Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) has provision for scholarships to 10% of students for study in B.Sc Forestry program at KAFCOL. The entire application process is conducted by the MoEST itself and publishes list of the selected candidates, who receive full tuition fee waiver for the entire study period.

Besides, KAFCOL has provision for partial scholarships for selected candidates based on their academic performance. In every semester 4 candidates receive partial scholarships- One candidate with highest overall grade in previous semester; One female candidate with highest overall grade in previous semester; One candidate with highest overall grade in previous semester coming from remote district of Nepal; and One candidate with highest overall grade in previous semester belonging to Janajati category.

Masters in Natural Resource Management and Rural Development (NRM-RD)

Under this program, MoEST provides two scholarships for academically outstanding students. The application process and selection is done by the MoEST solely. The list of selected candidates is sent to KAFCOL. Their tuition fee is completely waived.
