Student counseling and welfare

Kathmandu Forestry College provides counseling service to students seeking advice for higher study in forestry. Study of forestry is not only good for mental and physical health of students, but it’s a profession that is in demand and is likely to grow for mitigating the global threat of climate change. In addition, college also provides job placement as well as scholarship or assistantship information to students studying in the college.

Student council and their activities

College has provision of non-political student council with elected or selected representation of each year of Diploma in forestry, each batch of B.Sc. forestry and master level student of NRMRD and GIS with five sub-committees to perform extra-curricular and student level research and development activities such as publishing wall magazine, organizing  quiz contest, celebrating environment day by planting trees, cleaning around college compound, feeding animal in national zoo, conducting student farewell and welcome programs and managing indoor and outdoor games.
